Getting There
It is quite a plan to make one’s way to Kyrenia which is under the circumstances of the politics of Cyprus. The most immediate action is to take a flight to Ercan Airport (ECN) in the north. From Ercan, the hotel is about 40 minutes away. The easiest option is to take a pre-booked private transfer or a taxi to Kyrenia’s old harbour; the driver will know where to drop you off for the hotel, where it is just a short walk to the hotel.
Or, others fly into Larnaca (LCA) or Paphos (PFO) Airports in the Republic of Cyprus. From here, you will have to cross the Green Line, which is monitored by the UN. You can get a car, making sure the rental will let you take the car across the border and then buying the extra insurance you need at the border. An easier way is to take a special cross-border taxi service, which can take you right from the airport to Kyrenia. Just tell the driver you are going to Nostalgia Hotel, and he will drop you at the closest point where vehicles can go.
